Videos Viewed Online Exceed 30 Billion in One Month

Monday, January 11th, 2010

Companies wanting to further their brand presence on the internet cannot ignore the power of VSEO. Recent numbers indicate that the amount of people who watch online streaming video content continues to soar. Gathered in November of 2009, these statistics show that nearly 31 billion individuals tuned into their favorite video search engines, such as the ever popular Youtube.com, to watch online streaming content in record numbers. Such sites conveniently connect users to online video content submitted from all over the globe and some of these videos can exceed millions of views. More views can be attained through effective video search engine optimization (VSEO), which involves basic steps geared toward making a video receive maximum attention. A great means for advertising, marketing companies have taken great interest in pushing products through video SEO. There’s no denying that watching online videos is a huge part of the online appeal for the majority of global internet goers: 84.8% of the United States’ web-browsing population searched internet video engines during the month of November with the average user watching approximately 12.2 hours of streaming content. The widespread growth of people connecting to the internet and advances in VSEO have no doubt lead to the rapid increase of video viewings.
