In the beginning of this software comparison, I shared my thoughts on login and the inbox/compose features of GMail and Microsoft Outlook. Today, I want to check out the calendar, contacts and tasks features of each e-mail software.

Outlook vs. Gmail? In anticipation of the release of Google’s Chrome OS, I’m wondering how Google plans to pull off the switch from desktop to dashboard when it comes to software. I have been using Microsoft Word for as long as I can remember. I don’t even know half of what I want to about Excel, and I’m pretty tight with Outlook, (we see each other every day.) So how will Google reproduce the functionality of Microsoft Office and get the mainstream public to adapt?
