Bing-Hoo: Who Cares?

Ok, ok, I know- Am I kidding?

But stick with me here for a sec. In the end, what’s really going to change? The search merger between Yahoo! and Microsoft is exciting news; It’s a huge deal- between the two companies. And with this morning’s news that Yahoo! and Bing took in a combined 20.36% of the market share last month, I say: Didn’t we think it was more like 28% last week? Wolfram Research Releases Different Search Engine for Facts and Figures

If you haven’t checked out Wolfram|Alpha yet, find some time to drop by and experiment. The “computational knowledge engine” launched Monday.

The new search engine “aims to bring expert-level knowledge and capabilities to the broadest possible range of people- spanning all professions and education levels.”
