Get in-depth into SEO training with online classes, webinars, e-mail courses and eBooks from top SEO sites and field experts.
1. SEO Training from SEOBook. This site, run by SEO go-to-guy Aaron Wall, offers free membership with tons of free tools- not to mention Aaron’s “7 Days to SEO Success,” a helpful e-mail mini-course that can kick start your efforts while learning search. Aaron’s SEO Book has also been hailed as the best available eBook, and a wise investment that includes free updates.
2. Free SEO Tutorial from SEO guy. SEO Guy Services offers SEO and web design consulting and services and plenty of additional resources. SEO guy believes in transparency when it comes to SEO- no secrets withheld here!
3. Search Engine Optimization by Bruce Clay, Inc. This long article combines the tools and instruction any beginner needs for a rich tutorial experience.
4. Beginner’s Guide to SEO from SEOmoz. As one of the top SEO blogs and a great resource for the internet marketing community, SEOmoz provides a comprehensive starter’s guide to learn SEO, complete with additional links and resources.
5. Search Engine Marketing Training from Global Strategies. Although more geared towards SEM, these modules provide basic SEO training as well, and Global Strategies is considered one of the top SEO training companies.
6. SEO Tutorials from Tutorial Hero. Find hundreds of tutorials and learn SEO topic by topic.
7. SEO Tutorial from WebConfs.com. The site also includes a number of free SEO tools and a Best Practices checklist.
8. Web CEO University from WebCEO. When you sign up for a free account with WebCEO, you may not get access to all of their premium software tools, but you do get this valuable training course that includes certification!
9. Free SEO Training Class from GNC Web Creations. An interactive training course that utilizes Yahoo! Groups from the Texas based web design and SEO consulting company.
10. Online Web Training from Search Engine Workshops. This basic course contains 8 lessons and a certification project which will develop your knowledge and application of SEO.
Learn SEO from others: Forums, Meetups and Social Networks
Filter through info to find exactly what you need to know or troubleshoot in forums, or meet up with others to learn SEO.
11. SERoundtable Forum from Search Engine Roundtable. An excellent resource for learning and troubleshooting for all types of SEO and SEM strategy.
12. Search Engine Watch Forums from Search Engine Watch. Find information from highly regarded SEOs, learn about specific search engines and SEM strategies.
13. Search Engine Optimization Forum from SEO guy. SEO guy is back, and as one of the more followed members of SEO Chat, another forum, SEO guy has created his own forum that has met with quite a bit of success.
14. Search Engine Optimization from the High Rankings forum. Searchable forums concerning SEO, SEM and internet marketing from one of the longest standing SEO companies.
15. The New to Web Development Forum at WebMasterWorld. The helpful and friendly folks at WebMasterWorld gladly share links, info, tips and answer questions.
16. Meetup.com is an excellent resource to meet with people with similar interests in your local area. There are plenty of people attending SEO meetups all over- enter your zip code to find meetups nearby.

SEO Training Events, Seminars and Conferences
Attend SEO events to learn from industry professionals.
18. Search Engine Strategies conference and expo. A world-traveling conference featuring some of the best-known experts in SEO and SEM. The next event will be held in San Jose, CA in August.
19. Search Marketing Expo or SMX. This conference series comes to us from the minds behind SearchEngineLand and Sphinn.com. The next domestic segment will be in New York City in October.
20. SEO Class from SEO Class, Inc. An intimate, hands-on program that allows beginners in SEO to learn from professionals in the arena, held in Troy, NY.
21. Internet Marketing Event Calendar from Cumbrowski.com. Webmaster Carsten Cumbrowski is a programming and internet marketing expert with 20 years experience in web development. He cites a number of helpful resources and provides services in many areas of internet marketing.
22. Upcoming Conferences from SEOBook. An easy-to-use calendar with details on upcoming conferences.

23. Yahoo! Directory of SEO Resources. The Yahoo! Directory is one of the highest ranked directories. Find sites that offer Search Engine Optimization resources on this page.
24. Google SEO Basics from interspire. A short but insightful guide for learning search optimization for Google, from the marketing solutions software guys down under.
25. Google Ranking Factors list from Vaughn’s Summaries. This general knowledge reference site features 1-page summaries on topics from SEO to Astronomy.
26. Self SEO is a site that offers a number of tools, software, and plenty of bonus materials when you sign up for their newsletter.
27. Top 50 SEO Resources from Neil Patel. As one of the internet marketing gurus of the modern world, Neil has compiled this list of helpful resources on the Pronet Advertising site.
