There are many free SEO tools on the web that can help to streamline your optimization efforts. While some search engine optimization tools come at a steep price, listed here are a few handy tools available to any budding SEO steward at no charge!
What It Does: By inputting a batch of up to 10 different URLs, the Multi-Rank Checker will instantly look up the Google PageRank and Alexa Rankings for each site. This is far handier than looking up this information individually per site.
How It Works: Enter a series of URLs (one per line) into the field and click the “Check!” button. The results are then provided to you. This is one of the more straightforward and easy to use search engine optimization tools.
What It Does: Registering a free account with SEOmoz.org is required to use this handy tool, but it’s well worth it for any company wanting to stay abreast of their website’s keyword ranking developments. One can track the progress of a company’s rank for up to 5 keywords per day. Upon entering in the URL, the tool will search for the site in question on Google, Bing, or Yahoo. Among the more useful free SEO tools, the Rank Tracker can even maintain a search archive for you. With this, your site’s ranking progress will be tracked automatically over time. Furthermore, data can be exported into a CSV file to be used with spreadsheet applications.
